Creative, attention-grabbing ads will help you get results. The way you combine words, colors, graphics and animation are critical to your success.
To get started, you need to define goals for your campaign. Ask yourself the following questions:
What do I seek to accomplish with this campaign?
What action do I want online users to take when they see my ad?
What is my message?
Once you have done this its time to develop your advertising message. Since banner ads use both graphics and text, it is important to consider both elements.

I think that social media will become the yellow pages of the future. You will do a search for a business and you will be driven to their Twitter account, Facebook Fan page, etc. and not their company website. The danger is for those companies that do not embrace this and take advantage of it. I think that first mover advantage could be huge going forward. This will present an opportunity for a smaller more agile company to get a jump on a larger competitor that may never be able to catch up.
