Are Google Upgrades Killing Professional SEO Specialists?

imagesAs a professional SEO specialist, I have noticed an abundance of problems with search engine ranking as Google is updating their algorithms. While there may be a slight possibility that this could spell the end of the SEO professional, don’t panic until you get all the information about this. Many professionals SEO consultants use SEM techniques to get Google Ranking. They may use SEO tools, Social bookmarking, Link building or just article submissions, regardless of what strategy they use something always ends up back firing. Here is the low down on Google’s search personalization. Some reports are saying that 2009 will be the end of ranking from Google.

This might throw some professional SEO specialists into a panic. You will not be able to check page rankings through Google after 2009. It used to be that you could track your conversions, ROI and traffic. Most SEO services for all intents and purposes will be out of business by 2009. Google has been awarded a patent for language personalization. This will disturb many professional SEO writers and professional SEO consultants as this will affect them directly. This new personalization will definitely put an end to boasting about Page Ranking.

This could very well mean the end of the SEO specialists as we know them today. The move to Googles personalization will allow them to present more qualified prospects to your web site. So that should be good right? Err not really since this could affect the end of clicks to your web site.

This strategy if we want to call it that will be focused on user results instead of the traditional search engine rankings. What most SEO professionals will need to remember is that they will need to focus on the potential client needs beyond getting them traffic. You will need to understand what you want a visitor to do on your site and the best thing to do is to focus on ROI, conversions and traffic.

This is a major change to the way professional SEO specialists will be doing business. How this change will affect SEO writers and SEO consultants remains to be seen. With as many professional SEO services as are currently out there, there will need to be a change in the way optimization is done now, with the probable deletion of the search engine rankings after 2009. Until that time most SEO copywriters and SEO services will continue to do business as they have always done.

As with anything on the Internet times change, so will the profession. It is the nature of the beast that nothing remains carved in stone. Change is inevitable and all professional SEO specialists will have to change with the times. This will by no means make this industry extinct as the dinosaurs though. One needs to remember that while business changes, those who change with it have more chance of success when the changeover happens. While it may mean the end of SEO as we know it, there will be other ways of making a living than the original SEO would have ever dreamed. So while the knell of doom is ringing, more good will be coming of this. 2009 promises to be an exciting year indeed.
